Record-setting Italy once again takes center stage in New York
Summer Fancy Food Show 2023, June 25 to 27, at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York
The magic of New York, for the biggest trade event dedicated to specialty foods in North America, which many industry professionals consider the Olympics of food trade shows on a global level.
The stars of the show for many years, Italy’s excellent products, which will come to life in the traditional Italian Pavilion, once again the largest exhibition space in the entire show’s international area, with more than 300 companies present, 308 stands overall for a total of more than 30,000 sq.ft.
An Italian Pavilion which, as always, will present the entire range of Made in Italy food and agriculture products under the umbrella of the distinctive banner, “The Extraordinary Italian Taste.”
There will be plenty of new items and attractions; the Italian companies will be in a dedicated area, with a strong visual impact created by a structure featuring colors and images of Italy recalling the quality of the products on display.
Show Cooking and a Wine Tasting station, organized by the companies at their stands, which will feature Italian chefs and sommeliers, preparing dishes, tastings and demonstrations of recipes from the great Italian tradition.
New for 2023 is the presence of Giallozafferano, which will bring its experience in traditional and creative cuisine to the Summer Fancy Food Show, offering live show cooking and exciting stories related to the world of food.
The Giallozafferano show cooking stars will be: the Cooker Girl, the girl with the red apron, who is a Tik Tok sensation; Chef Daniele Rossi, with his more than 3 million followers, who will create unique dishes; and Mattiastable, one of the most beloved emerging talents in the United States, who will bring his extraordinary ability in culinary storytelling, creating moments of inspiration for the show’s attendees.
The Specialty Food Association is the largest food network in the United States, founded in 1952 in New York, by importers and entrepreneurs. It is a non-profit association with 3,000 members in the United States and abroad.
In the period of January-March 2023, the Italy-US exchange increased +11.4%
In the same period of January-March 2023, Italy continued to record a consistent increase of +12.9% a little below the average EU +13.5% and it remains in 11th place among the US’s main supplier countries, with an increase in the market share to 2.3.
Regarding the sector progress of US imports from Italy, in the period of January-March 2023, the majority of Made in Italy sectors recorded increases, with food and agriculture products and beverages at +40.7%.
